ANPR
- ANPR is the camera technology used to “read” and “convert” the license plate on a vehicle into usable character-based text
- The only integrated system offered commercially is that operated by IVID
- The IVID ANPR Compliance System is a software-based solution that allows institutions to purchase “slots”, where vehicles that are legally sought can be loaded via our linking system; CerTrack ( A Ubiquitech product)
- These “slots” are read by the mobile ANPR camera cars, plus several hundred static cameras, which give an immediate alert when sighted, all such data is then stored in an intelligence providing system, VID,s. ( A Data-re Product)
- The system allows for faster recovery of the required assets and much improved control of the upliftment environment
- The system can be utilized far more efficiently if the user also has access to the historical sightings data held in the VIDS
